An employee at Kajacs Construction reported at 6:14 a.m. Sunday, July 2, that someone broke into a storage container and stole tools valued at $13,700.

Ethel Higgs reported at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, July 4, that a juvenile female threw a can at her at their residence in the 2200 block of West Maud Street. Higgs did not want to press charges, and the juvenile went to stay with another family member.

Laura Thurmond reported at 12:16 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, that her debit card number had been used to make unauthorized purchases.

Douglas Richardson reported at 5:51 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, that someone slashed a tire on his car while it was parked at a residence in the 900 block of West Henry Street.

Ashley Ehrenberg reported at 8:09 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, that someone broke a window out of her car while it was parked at her residence in the 900 block of Pershing Street.

Sheila Phelps reported at 8:36 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, that a white male and black male wearing masks broke into her residence in the 400 block of North D Street. Both suspects flourished handguns and demanded money. They took a television and a Sony Playstation 5 game console and left the scene before the police were notified.

Officers responded at 11:16 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, to a report of a fight at a residence in the 1500 block of Wilson Street. An adult female reported she and her girlfriend fought, and the girlfriend left prior to officer arrival. She did not want to press charges.

Leo Kearbey reported at 11:43 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, he received a call from a male subject who claimed to be holding someone at gunpoint. Kearbey hung up and called the police. Kearbey did not recognize the phone number that appeared on his caller ID. At the time of this report, officers had been unable to contact anyone at the number or locate the caller.
