The Juice Cafe celebrated its grand opening under new ownership Thursday.
Tyler Spanos, who took over the business in February of this year, said he is excited about the business prospect and happy to offer healthy menu options in the area.
The cafe serves a menu focused on healthy, non-processed food options, offering a variety of nutritious smoothies, juice blends, wraps and more.
According to manager Ian Urich, one of the standout additions to the menu is their all-natural, in-house-made popsicles.
“They are all fruit-based, with no added colors or dyes,” Urich explained.
Located across from Planet Fitness on Westwood Boulevard, the Juice Cafe has several options that are geared toward fitness enthusiasts and health-conscious individuals. The cafe boasts an extensive menu that caters to various dietary preferences including, but not limited to, vegan-friendly and sugar-free options. Customers can indulge in protein balls, freshly made smoothies — which are made to order with all fresh fruits and vegetables — paninis, turkey wraps and an array of vegan options.
According to Spanos, the Juice Cafe offers fresh menu items daily, ensuring patrons always have new healthy choices. Highlights from their rotating menu include a California grilled chicken salad, vegan carrot cake muffins, chicken quesadillas and fresh peanut butter protein bites which one ribbon-cutting attendee said “taste just like a Nutter Butter.”
Urich mentioned the turkey wrap has been a particular favorite amongst customers.
“It’s lighter because it has less bread, and everybody loves the cranberry cream cheese,” he explained.
He also emphasized that while the cafe always offers a slightly sweet option, most of their baked goods are vegan-friendly, meaning they contain no egg or dairy.
Operating hours for the Juice Cafe are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Urich said he describes the cafe as being “where healthy meets delicious.”
