Officers responded at 9 a.m. Friday, May 19, to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 1200 block of Mulberry Street. The parties separated before officer arrival, and neither wanted to press charges, according to the report.

Brandon Arnold, 33, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 4:23 p.m. Friday, May 19, at his residence in the 1200 block of Forrest Lane. Arnold was booked in on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on assault and traffic offenses, and he was released on bond.

Deborah Buhler, 67, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 5 p.m. Friday, May 19, at Oakdale Care Center at 2702 Debbie Lane. Buhler was booked in on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, and she was lodged in the Butler County jail.

An adult female reported at 6:57 p.m. Friday, May 19, her boyfriend assaulted her at their residence in the 500 block of Oak Street. The matter was referred to the Butler County prosecutor.

Officers responded at 7:50 p.m. Friday, May 19, to Skate City at 1403 W. Vine St. for a report that several subjects had flourished pistols. The investigation determined pistols were displayed during a confrontation in the lobby of the business. No injury was reported, and no one involved wanted to press charges.

A white 2002 Buick passenger vehicle was reported on fire at 8:42 p.m. Friday, May 19, while parked on the lot of A1 Electronics at 2218 Fair St. Efforts to identify the owner failed, and the vehicle was impounded and towed.

An employee at Crown Hospice reported at 11:55 a.m. Saturday, May 20, a controlled substance, Oxycodone, was stolen from a patient at a residence in the 1300 block of West Harper Street.

At 2:14 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, Thomas Eskridge, 55, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at Hillcrest Apartments in the 400 block of North 2nd St. Eskridge was booked in on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender, and he was lodged in the Butler County Jail.

Kenneth Hall, 38, of Poplar Bluff was booked at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at the police department on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on no insurance with a $167 bond. Hall was unable to post bond, and he was released on his own recognizance.

Marquis Wiggins, 26, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8:29 p.m. Saturday, May 20, during a traffic stop on North Westwood Boulevard. Wiggins was booked in on Dunklin County warrants for failure to appear on possession of marijuana and a traffic offense with a $266.50 cash only bond. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

A juvenile male reported at 11:24 p.m. Saturday, May 20, he was threatened by two black males at Huck’s Convenience Store at 703 N. Westwood Blvd. The victim said one of the suspects threatened him with a pistol and demanded his shoes and his cell phone.

A witness reported at 4:55 a.m. Sunday, May 21, a truck dragging a tow chain parked on Highway 142. Three white males got out of the truck and left in a silver passenger vehicle. Officers immediately checked ATMs and found the machine at Sterling Bank at 2340 S. Broadway had been forced open.

An employee at Menard’s at 3105 Oak Grove Road reported at 4:44 p.m. Sunday, May 21, a white male stole a doorbell camera on three separate occasions over the past several weeks. The suspect was identified by video footage, and the matter was referred to the prosecutor.
