Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is excited to announce its partnership with South Central Career Center’s Surgical Tech program. As the demand for skilled surgical technicians continues to rise, PBRMC is committed to supporting aspiring professionals in pursuing this rewarding career path.
Through this partnership, students enrolled in the program will have the opportunity to gain invaluable clinical hours at PBRMC, where they will work alongside experienced surgical teams in a real-world healthcare environment.
SCCC’s program is hybrid in nature, combining comprehensive classroom instruction both in person (two days per week) and online (two days per week) with hands-on, practical training.
“We understand the importance of providing a well-rounded education that prepares students for the challenges they will face in their careers,” said Misty Hathcock, SCCC program director.
As surgical technicians, individuals play a vital role in maintaining a sterile environment during surgical procedures and possess expert knowledge of the equipment and supplies required for each operation.
“At PBRMC, we recognize the increasing demand for skilled surgical technicians and are committed to fostering their development,” said Ashely Lepold, PBRMC Surgical Services Director. “Our partnership ensures these students have the skills and knowledge necessary to become successful surgical technologists and make a difference in the lives of patients.”
PBRMC encourages all motivated and driven individuals who are passionate about healthcare and enjoy working in a fast-paced, challenging environment to apply to the Surgical Tech program. Deadline is fast approaching, May 31.
