Breakthrough Wellness, a new medical spa in Poplar Bluff, seeks to change lives with cutting-edge technology and services, according to founder and CEO Jessica Murphy.
Murphy has always been passionate about health and wellness, having worked from home for the last 17 years and struggled with her own health after giving birth to her oldest child 23 years ago.
“I was always looking for ways to improve health and realized that pretty much anything that was new technology I came across tended to be a six-hour drive,” said Murphy.
She started looking into different ways to help women with their health, as women’s health is a personal passion for her. She found the EMSELLA chair, which helped her and was the reason she started Breakthrough Wellness.
The EMSELLA chair is a device that Murphy swears by, explaining, “it does pelvic strengthening and helps with all types of things.”
She drove a couple of hours to try it and within one treatment, she knew that she needed to buy the chair.
“Anyone over the age of 40 or anyone who’s ever had a child can benefit from it,” said Murphy.
The health spa also offers the EMsculpt NEO, which uses HIFEM or high-intensity focused electromagnetic and RF or radio frequency technology to stimulate muscles for ‘supramaximal’ contractions. Murphy explained that it is a fat-burning, muscle-building device.
“Now I can wrestle with my son, play with him and do all the things boy moms do without hurting myself,” said Murphy.
Breakthrough Wellness also offers the EMFACE device, which is a facelift without surgery, toxins, needles, or downtime. Additionally, the health spa offers IV wellness, including wellness IVs for energy, skin and detoxing, as well as an immunity and migraines.
Murphy is proud of her team at Breakthrough Wellness, which includes two registered nurses and a nurse practitioner to assist with things like IV wellness and hormone therapy.
“These girls are absolutely phenomenal in everything that they do. They have helped this come to life,” she said.
Explaining she wants to provide a place for people to come feel comfortable and leave feeling good about themselves.
Breakthrough Wellness is located at 1879 N. Westwood Blvd.
“Our goal is to help people make the rest of their life the best of their life,” said Murphy.
