Alfred Rivers Jr., 42, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, at his residence in the 9000 block of Ivadene. Rivers was booked in on a Butler County warrant for a probation violation with a $20,000 cash-only bond and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

An employee at O’Neal Elementary School reported at 8:57 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, a juvenile student assaulted a teacher. The child was released to their parents and this matter was referred to the juvenile office, according to the report.

Michael Arnold, 55, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:14 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, at a residence in the 700 block of Foley Street. Arnold was booked in on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Dinel Hoja reported at 11:47 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, someone broke into the residence at 2400 Kanell Boulevard. At the time of the report, it was unclear whether anything was missing.

Dustin Browning, 37, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 7:04 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, at his residence in the 400 block of North Fifth Street. Browning was booked in on Butler County warrants for probation violations with a $5,000 bond, a traffic offense with a $10,000 bond and failure to appear on a dangerous drugs charge with a $5,000 cash-only bond and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Ladonna Dewerff, 71, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8:44 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, during a traffic stop on South Fifth Street. Dewerff was booked in on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on a code violation with a $250 bond. Dewerff was unable to post bond and she was released on her own recognizance.

John Shipp, 41, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:18 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, at his residence in the 400 block of North B Street. Shipp was booked in on a charge of third degree domestic assault and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.
