Kristen Goodwin, 35, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 9:59 p.m. Friday, March 31, during a traffic stop in the 900 block of Oakwood. Goodwin was booked in on a Dunklin County warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense with a $172 cash only bond and she was lodged in the Butler County jail.

James Mitchell reported at 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 31, he was assaulted by an acquaintance at Westwood Billiards at 2207 S. Westwood Blvd. on March 12.

An employee at Maurice’s at 1399 N. Westwood Blvd. reported at 5:05 p.m. Friday, March 31, a customer passed a counterfeit $100 bill at the store.

Neal Gale, 52, of Poplar Bluff, and Victoria Breeze, 33, of Poplar Bluff, were arrested at 7:55 p.m. Friday, March 31, during a traffic stop in the 900 block of Lester Street. Gale was booked in on charges of driving while revoked or suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia, and he was released pending review by the prosecutor. Breeze was booked in on a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on charges of stealing with a $2,500 cash only bond and she was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Nelena Nelson, 29, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 9:22 p.m. Friday, March 31, during a traffic stop on Highway 53. Nelson was booked in on a Butler County warrant for passing a bad check with a $2,500 bond and she was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Adam Parrish, 25, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10:13 p.m. Friday, March 31, during a traffic stop on West Maud Street. Parrish was booked in on a Butler County warrant for assault with a $5,000 bond and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded at 11:23 p.m. Friday, March 31, to a residence in the 700 block of Cynthia Street for a drug overdose. A bystander said they administered one dose of Narcan with no effect before calling for an ambulance. EMS administered a second dose and the victim recovered. The victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further medical care.

Merl Morgan, 56, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 12:58 a.m. Friday, March 31, during a traffic stop on Broadway. Morgan was booked in on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on shoplifting and a traffic offense with a $1,000 bond. Morgan was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

An employee at Rhodes 101 at 3111 Oak Grove Rd. reported at 1:57 a.m. Saturday, April 1, two white male teenagers stole a display case which contained more than $1,700 worth of tobacco and nicotine accessories from the front counter. The theft was caught on video and the investigation continues.

Benjamin Stewart reported at 7:06 a.m. Saturday, April 1, his white 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix was stolen by an acquaintance. The car was located and returned to Stewart a short time later.

Joseph Cobble, 36, of Poplar Bluff, and Terry Crossen, 59, of Poplar Bluff, were arrested at 12:50 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at Walmart Supercenter at 333 S. Westwood Blvd. Cobble was booked in on a charge of stealing and he was lodged in the Butler County jail. Crossen was booked in on a charge of stealing and a Butler County warrant for sexual assault with a $2,500 bond and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Two juveniles reported at 1:56 p.m. Saturday, April 1, they were assaulted and a cell phone was stolen by three juvenile suspects at the skate park on Moran Street.

A juvenile reported at 3:57 p.m. Saturday, April 1, he was harassed and assaulted by several juveniles at the Eugene Field playground.

Randall Burgess, 40, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 5:25 p.m. Saturday, April 1, in the 400 block of South Main Street. Burgess was booked in on a charge of possession of amphetamine and a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on charges of no insurance with a $100 bond. Burgess was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

Jalisha Lindsey reported at 7:48 p.m. Saturday, April 1, her estranged boyfriend assaulted her at a residence in the 500 block of West Henry Street. This matter was referred to the Butler County Prosecutor.

Dewayne Presberry, 36, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 9:42 p.m. Saturday, April 1, during a traffic stop on South Ninth Street. Presberry was booked in on a probation/parole warrant for parole violation with no bond and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Tynell David, 35, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested during a traffic stop on North Ninth St. David was booked in on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to apear on traffic violations with a $200 bond. David wsa unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

Kelly Vinson, 37, of Poplar Bluff, and Shaina Martin, 23, of Poplar Bluff, were arrested at 1:22 a.m . Saturday, April 1, during a traffic stop on South Seventh Street. Vinson was booked in on a charge of driving while intoxicated and he was lodged in the Butler County jail. Martin was booked in on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on charges of assault with a $261 bond. Martin was unable to post bond and she was released on her own recognizance.

Tiffany Maynard, 42, of Poplar Bluff, was detained at 1:40 p.m. Sunday, April 2, at 333 S. Westwood Blvd. after she stole a basketball goal. Maynard was issued a criminal summons for stealing and she was released at the scene.

Anthony Richard, 43, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 8 p.m. Sunday, April 2, at Mike’s Resale at 1015 East Harper St. Richard was booked in on charges of fourth degree assault and second degree property damage and a Butler County warrant for forgery of checks with a $5,000 cash only bond. Richard was lodged in the Butler County jail.

A juvenile victim reported at 8:06 p.m. Sunday, April 2, she was assaulted and held against her will by her adult boyfriend. When the victim’s mother told the suspect the police were called, he fled the scene. The investigation continues.
