At 8:10 a.m. Friday, April 14, an employee at Walmart Supercenter at 333 S. Westwood Blvd. reported on April 13, they were assaulted while they worked inside the store. The victim said he was not injured in the attack, and he did not know any of the suspects. The attack was captured on video, and the suspects were identified. This matter was referred to the juvenile office.

Anthony Burton, 51, of Malden was booked at the police department at 9:47 a.m. Friday, April 14, on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense. He was released on bond.

Roland Paisley Jr, 41, of Poplar Bluff was booked at the police department at 9:47 a.m. Friday, April 14, on Poplar Bluff Municipal warrants for failure to appear on charges of stealing, property damage, peace disturbance, and a code violation with a $600 bond. Paisley was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

At 11:05 a.m. Friday, April 14, an employee at Academy Sports reported that on March 1, a female suspect removed a stun gun from his package and left the store without paying for it. The theft was captured on video.

At 11:55 a.m. Friday, April 14, Lori Cole reported an adult male acquaintance assaulted her and stole cash and a cell phone. The stolen property was later returned and no charges were filed.

At 11:55 a.m. Friday, April 14, an employee at Poplar Bluff Junior High School reported a juvenile student said he was bringing a gun to school and the employee should stay home. The juvenile was released to a parent and the matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

Trent Liles, 30, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 3:19 p.m. Friday, April 14, on East Pine Street. Liles was booked in on a Bourbon County Kentucky warrant for possession of a firearm by a felon and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Devon Raddad, 27, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 6:18 p.m. Friday, April 14, during the investigation of a traffic accident on West Pine Street. Raddad was booked in on a charge of driving while intoxicated and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Franklin Burkhart Jr, 30, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:34 p.m. Friday, April 14, on Park Street. Burkhart was booked in on a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on violation of a protection order with a $5,000 bond and a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for trespassing with a $50 bond.

Joshua Allen, 23, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 3:07 a.m. Saturday, April 15, during a traffic stop on Westwood Blvd. Allen was booked in on Poplar Bluff Municipal warrants for failure to appear on traffic offenses $500 bond. Allen was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

Terrance Fields, 28, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10:33 a.m. Saturday, April 15, in the parking lot of Hardees at 101 S. Westwood Blvd. Fields was booked in on Butler County warrants for burglary with a $45,000 bond and Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on stealing and traffic offenses with a $1,500 bond. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

At 6:11 p.m. Saturday, April 15, officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Tremont Street for a drug overdose. EMS administered Narcan but the victim did not recover, and they were transported to Poplar Regional Medical Center by ambulance.

At 7:31 p.m. Saturday, April 15, officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 600 block of Cherry Street. Neither party reported injury and no charges were filed.

Alsup was booked in on charges of third-degree assault, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.
