Circle Fiber has cut the ribbon for its interactive retail store in Poplar Bluff. The store will kick off their opening at 8:30 a.m. Friday, with a First Friday Coffee Event co-hosted with the Greater Poplar Bluff Area Chamber of Commerce.

“We’re extremely excited to open our new interactive store in Poplar Bluff, where our customers can experience our advanced fiber technology first-hand,” said Circle Fiber General Manager Eric Arnold, who oversees the Poplar Bluff region. “This store will serve as a technological hub and innovative resource for our community, enhancing the overall customer experience with personalized assistance and support from their hometown network.”

The Circle Fiber interactive retail store will offer customers an immersive experience with the company’s fiber optic internet services. The store boasts displays and demonstrations, including streaming and gaming stations, along with a staff to answer any questions about Circle Fiber’s products and services.

“What we plan on with this obviously is to sell services, but also to be an education center,” explained Big River Communication’s President Kevin Cantwell.

Circle Fiber will be host a “Fiber Side Chat” series: educational seminars, workshops and interactive experiences that showcase the power and capabilities of fiber optic technology. These weekly events will cater to community organizations, schools and individuals that want to learn about the power of technology and how it is changing daily lives

“We believe that access to high-speed internet is a fundamental right for everyone, and our mission is to provide affordable, reliable and lightning-fast internet services to as many communities as possible,“ said Circle Fiber President Chris Simmons. “Our new store in Poplar Bluff is an important step toward fulfilling that mission and expanding our footprint in Missouri.”

Installation of fiber optic cables in Poplar Bluff began last year and has progressed to around 95% completion, according to Arnold.

“We hope to have the rest of our construction up in the next 90-120 days,” he said.

Currently, around 8% of Missourians have access to fiber optic gigabit internet. Arnold and Cantwell explained gigabit internet is attracting to expanding and relocating businesses, and raises the value of residential properties by around 3%.

“For a town the size of Poplar Bluff to have gigabit internet is a big deal,” said Arnold.
