Anna Louise Campbell, 93, of Qulin, Missouri, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. Ann was born June 2, 1929, in Qulin, daughter of the late William “Graddy” and Lora Lavern “Vernie” Webb. She owned and operated Ann’s Restaurant in Qulin for 25 years. She loved cooking and canning and was especially known for the jams and jellies she would make and share with others. She also had a great love for traveling and adventure. Even into her later years she traveled all over and embarked on new adventures such as ziplining and riding in a hot air balloon. She also enjoyed fishing which was one of her favorite childhood memories.
On Nov. 15, 1952, she married Buel Winford Campbell. He preceded her in death Oct. 16, 2009.
She is survived by three children: B.J. (Karon) Campbell of Qulin, Sheriann (Sam) Swan of Knoxville, Tennessee, Stephanie Campbell of Farmington, Missouri; 14 grandchildren: Janice Overton, Debbie Smith, Rachel Overton, Meagan Dean, Leslie Podrasky, Nicholas Swan, Erica Wilson, Devin Foust, Nicola Buchanan, Staci Foster, Ashton Campbell, Amy Yarbro, Amanda Mutch, Jesse Mondy; 18 great-grandchildren; and one sister: Mary Ruth Keirsey of Qulin.
In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by two children: James Mac Overton and Katheia Campbell; and four siblings: James Webb, Lora Webb, Wilma Gibson, William “Bill” Webb.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Qulin. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Johnny Meese and Rev. Darren Baker officiating. Burial will be in Qulin Cemetery at Qulin.
