Junell Knight, 70, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023, at her residence surrounded by loved ones.
Mrs. Knight was born Aug. 17, 1952, in Poplar Bluff, daughter of the late Byrtle and Emma Bennett. On April 2, 1976, she married Dennis Knight. She worked for Kneibert Clinic in Poplar Bluff until her family moved to Texas in 1981, where they lived for 20 years before returning to Poplar Bluff.
Junell attended New Home General Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed all the cooking, baking, and family time that surrounded the holidays. Fishing with her husband was one of her favorite pastimes. Junell was a 16-year cancer survivor and despite any hardships she faced she always made the best of every situation and loved her life.
Junell is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Dennis Knight; two children: Christopher (Chrissy) Knight of Cypress, Texas, and Marcus (Tracey) Knight of Broseley, Missouri; eight grandchildren: Trevor, Christian, Christa, Christopher, Colton, Bailey, and Ian Knight, and Calee Patrick; and three siblings: John Bennett, Linda Palmer, and Bill Bennett.
She was also preceded in death by two siblings: Sue Swindle and Jerry Bennett.
