Scotty Hand, 67, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 10:38 a.m. Dec. 26, during a traffic stop on Henry Street. Hand was booked in on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on stealing and he was released on bond.

An employee at Casey’s General Store at 599 E. Pine St. reported at 7:50 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, a black male stole a bottle of liquor. The suspect was identified by store video footage and the matter was referred to the Butler County Prosecutor.

Marvin Adams, 43, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 11:38 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, behind a store in Valley Plaza Shopping Center. Adams was booked in on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on shoplifting and a traffic offense. Adams was unable to post bond but he was released on his own recognizance.

Broege was booked in on a warrant for parole violation and Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Joaquin Diviney, 43, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 4:55 p.m. on Dec. 28, at Soapy Suds Laundromat at 1613 S. Broadway. Diviney was booked in on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on charges of trespassing, harassment, peace disturbance, and assault. Diviney was unable to post bond but he was released on his own recognizance.

Randall was booked in on a Poplar Bluff Municipal warrant for failure to appear on no insurance with bond set at $100. A Butler County warrant for probation violation with a cash only bond set at $20,000 and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded to Glory Days bar at 1:40 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, to 4806 West St. to assist Butler County deputies with a report of a shooting. A vehicle leaving the scene failed to stop for officers and a short motor vehicle pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle struck another car on Harper St. The occupants of the suspect vehicle fled on foot and the occupants of the second vehicle reported no injury.

Westwood Blvd. Johnson was booked in on Poplar Bluff Municipal warrants for failure to appear on charges of assault, harassment, stealing, minor in possession of liquor, and driving while revoked or suspended a bond was set at $1,210 and a Kennett Municipal warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense with a cash only bond of $20 and she was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded to Wal-Mart Supercenter at 333 S. Westwood Blvd at 9:13 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, for a report of an adult female suffering a mental health crisis. The victim was taken into custody and transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for evaluation.

An adult female reported at 9:12 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, her ex-boyfriend intentionally struck her car with his own while it was parked in the driveway of her residence in the 800 block of Mulberry Street. The suspect left prior to officers arrival and the matter was referred to the prosecutor.

An employee at Jay’s Corner Store, 1040 South Broadway, reported at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, a female patron who claimed to have a firearm robbed the store and escaped with cash taken from the register. Lyric Jones, 26, of Cape Girardeau, is wanted for questioning in this event. Jones should be considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information about her location should contact their local law enforcement agency.

Barbara Rommel reported at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, a juvenile male stole her purse. Rommel tried to hold on to the purse and was dragged on the ground before the purse was pulled from her grasp. The suspect escaped before the police were called.

Detrayous ‘T-Dog’ Wallace, 19, of Poplar Bluff and a juvenile male were arrested at 7:54 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Jay’s Corner Store at 707 N. Ninth St. following a physical altercation with an employee. The juvenile male escaped and fled the scene during the investigation of the matter. Wallace was booked at the Butler County jail on charges of first-degree property damage, resisting arrest and trespassing.

An employee at Kissinger and Kirkman Investments, 2102 N. Shelby Road, reported metal grates missing from the parking lot at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4. Surveillance video footage revealed the grates were stolen by three juvenile males. The suspects parents were contacted and the grates were returned to the business.

Officers responded on at 5:32 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, to Mike’s Resale at 1015 E. Harper St. for a drug overdose. Bystanders reported they administered four doses of Narcan but the victim did not recover. The victim was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
