Officers responded to Glory Days bar at 1:40 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, to 4806 West St. to assist Butler County deputies with a report of a shooting. A vehicle leaving the scene failed to stop for officers and a short motor vehicle pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle struck another car on Harper St. The occupants of the suspect vehicle fled on foot and the occupants of the second vehicle reported no injury.

An employee at Jay’s Corner Store, 1040 South Broadway, reported at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, a female patron who claimed to have a firearm robbed the store and escaped with cash taken from the register. Lyric Jones, 26, of Cape Girardeau, is wanted for questioning in this event. Jones should be considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information about her location should contact their local law enforcement agency.

Ninth St. following a physical altercation with an employee. The juvenile male escaped and fled the scene during the investigation of the matter. Wallace was booked at the Butler County jail on charges of first-degree property damage, resisting arrest and trespassing.

Surveillance video footage revealed the grates were stolen by three juvenile males. The suspects parents were contacted and the grates were returned to the business.
