Officers responded at 2:49 p.m. on Dec. 20, to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 900 block of Henderson Street. The suspect fled the scene before officer arrival.

Marty Michel reported at 3 p.m. on Dec. 20, his truck was struck by another vehicle while it was parked at Northwest Medical Clinic at 2210 Barron Rd. The other vehicle left the scene, but a witness left the suspects vehicle information on Michel’s truck. The other driver was contacted and provided contact information and proof of insurance for the accident report.

Jesse Smith reported at 3:48 p.m. on Dec. 20, a garbage can which contained scrap metal was taken from his yard in the 400 block of Karen Drive.

Officers responded at 5:45 p.m. on Dec. 20, to a residence in the 800 block of West Vine Street for a report of a shooting. A juvenile victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound. He was transported by air to a hospital in St Louis for further treatment.

Officers responded at 8:09 p.m. on Dec. 20, to a residence in the 1100 block of South 11th Street for a drug overdose. EMS administered Narcan and the victim regained consciousness and refused further medical assistance.

Lawrence Heacock, 32, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 11:12 p.m. Dec. 20, during a traffic stop on South 5th Street at Cedar Street. Heacock was booked in on a Butler County warrant for stealing with a $2,500 bond and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Dakota Hall, 23, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 12:12 a.m. Dec. 20, during a traffic stop on Sunset Drive. Hall was booked in on a Butler County warrant for possession of amphetamine a $5,000 bond was set and he was lodged in the Butler County jail. Marquis Key, 25, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested when he arrived to take possession of Hall’s vehicle. Key was booked in on a Milwaukee, Wisconsin warrant for domestic abuse. No bond was set and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers responded to a residencen at 12:14 a.m. on Dec. 21, in the 300 block of Short Fifth Street for an infant who was not breathing. EMS was not available, and officers rushed the child to the emergency room. The child was transported to St. Louis for treatment. Investigation of the circumstances surrounding the child’s injuries are under investigation.

Officers responded at 2:19 a.m. on Dec. 21, to a domestic disturbance in a room at Holiday Inn at 2781 North Westwood Blvd. An adult male reported his girlfriend assaulted him during an argument in the room. The victim did not want to press criminal charges, and the suspect left the hotel.
