Wanda Ellen Kane, 85, departed this life Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023. Wanda Ellen Kane, 85, departed this life Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023.

She was born April 29, 1937, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to the late William Virgil and Wilma Arline (Costephens) Keele of Williamsville, Missouri.

Mrs. Kane was a classroom teacher and treasured her many years working with the students and staff at Lake Road Elementary School. In her early years, she played women’s league volleyball, enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her family on Current River. After retirement, she planned many trips to the casino, where she was known for her luck on the slot machines.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved brother: Wesley Lucian “Bud” Keele, her second husband Kenneth Morris, and third husband Raymond Kane, all of whom she loved greatly and helped to take care of as their health declined.

Wanda is survived by sisters: Geneva Faye Keele, Reva Kay Wright, and Mary Joann Hicks; daughter: Elizabeth Joann Duckett; stepdaughters: Brenda Parks, Glenda Million, and Tami Willis; grandchildren: Jonathan Willis, Alysia Jackson, Joe Parks, Laurie Burkhead, Misty Wells, Stacy Wells, and Chris Willis Jr; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 14, in Holliday Cemetery, Williamsville.
