Katelyn Veronica Gordan was born Jan. 12, 1996 and died Dec. 14,2022
Our Beloved Katelyn transitioned to life everlasting on Dec. 14,2022. Those who will cherish her memory include: her mother Brandy O’Connor, her father Charles and Cierra Shaefer, her dad and mom Marquis and Sally Adams. her maternal grandparents, Scott Gordon, Sr., and Karen King, her paternal grandmother, Nancy Davis and her paternal grandparents Anthony and Clara Price, as well as siblings Marco (whom she referred to as “My baby”), Timber, Georgia, Mercy, Marquis, Shawn, Katie, Courtney, Trina and Kevin, a host of nieces and nephews, her Aunts Julia and Amy, her aunties Alexandria (Charles) Taylor, Auntie Tamera and her Uncle Scott and favorite Great Uncle Mark and Karen Adams-Jones and her favorite great Auntie Maddie. A host of great Aunties, Uncles, Cousins Family and Friends will miss her dearly.
Katelyn was also known by her Gordon family as Sis.. Katelyn had an unconditional love for her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. She was loved and adored by all who knew her. Her favorite saying was “Have a Blessed Day” . Katelyn knew no strangers and put her love for people to work for many years as the in-home Care Giver for Ms. Charlotte and as a customer care representative for several prestigious companies.
Kately enjoyed signing “Night-Night songs” to her baby brother Marco and sang them to him nightly even though he is now a teenager until the day she passed. She enjoyed the outdoors, sports, hiking, working out and hanging out with her dad Marquis and her papa Anthony. Katelyn loved animals and had several pets throughout her lifetime. Katelyn was always one determined to meet her goals and was inspired to be a realtor and was attending online college until her untimely death. Once she gave her life to Christ, she quickly changed her major to theology.
Some noted memories of Katelyn are: “Spit happens Bib”. Dancing with her cousin Malik in the park. At age 4 she would ride her Jeep all over the neighborhood, up and down the hills, stairs fast and everyone saying “Get out of the way! Here comes Katelyn.” She enjoyed playing volleyball and softball. Katelyn had a love for learning and her enthusiasm about God’s word lead her to accepting Christ as her Savior while her Great Uncle Charles walked her through the sinner’s prayer. Her favorite TV Gospel preacher was Steven Furtik who she went to see in person with her Grandma Clara.
Katelyn wrecked several cars before she was old enough to drive. At 4 years old she wrecked her grandma Clara’s car and at the age of 6 or 7 she and her cousin Corey wrecked her Aunt Amy’s car just to name a few.
Katelyn was a firm believer of speaking daily affirmations and we affirm that Katelyn is now resting in the arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Best Funeral Home 9380 W.
