Brian Kelly McCoy, 52, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Brian was born on May 27, 1970, to Richard “Talmadge” and Peggy (Watt) McCoy in Salem, Illinois.
Brian was full of life. His broad smile and sense of humor had a way of lighting up the room and drawing others in. He was an avid outdoorsman. He was a talented fisherman and hunter. He had a love for all genres of music. Brian was a proud father and grandfather, as well as a friend to many.
Brian is survived by his mother, Peggy; two sons, Talmadge (Kristin) McCoy and Tanner McCoy; brother, Rick McCoy; two sisters, Tammy (Thomas) Atteberry and Terri McCoy; two grandchildren, Blakely and Talmadge McCoy. He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, Talmadge, and sister, Cristie McCoy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 11 from 5-6 p.m. at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Daniel Robles officiating.
Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to his family.
