Laramie S. Blackburn and Mackenzie M. Marler have been named November 2022 students of the month for Greenville High School.
Laramie Blackburn is the daughter Scotti and Mona Blackburn of Greenville. Mackenzie is the daughter of Chris and Robin Marler of Silva.
Laramie is an active student and a member of Senior Beta Club, FCS, NHS, FBLA and student council. She is also a member of the Greenville High School Lady Bears softball team. In addition, Laramie participates in the A+ program, is a Bear Ambassador and will graduate with honors.
In her spare time, Laramie enjoys reading and softball.
After graduation, she plans on continuing her college career at Mineral Area College while playing softball for the Lady Cardinals where she will major in biology for her associate’s degree.
Mackenzie participates in many activities. She is an active member of Senior Beta Club, FCCLA, FFA, and NHS. Mackenzie also played basketball and volleyball for two years for the Greenville Lady Bears. She is an A+ student and will graduate with honors.
In her spare time, Mackenzie enjoys barrel racing, raising AKC Labradors, reading and spending time with her best friend Emma, her other friends and her boyfriend, Zach.
Mackenzie plans to obtain a bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University and then attend University of Missouri — Columbia or Missouri State University and earn a degree in obstetrics and gynecology. She would eventually like to start a family.
