Tawana Ashcraft along with several sponsors, family and friends hosted the second annual Millie Fest, Saturday, Oct. 29 in Poplar Bluff, to honor the memory of her daughter Camille McCain.
“We had several donations, our turnout was double last year’s,” said Ashcraft. This year several food vendors were on-site, as well as, live music, the Boys and Girls Club and much more, “I have no doubt we will continue to grow with vendors and foot traffic,” she continued. “The weather was great also and we didn’t get rained on like we were afraid of.”
An accident took Camille McCain's young life on Oct. 14, 2017, the avid sportswoman with a passion for softball, “would be very proud of us for keeping her memory alive,” said Ashcraft.
