On Oct. 23, deputies responded to the area of County Route 401 in reference to a stolen vehicle being located that was being operated by Lucas Henson age 36 of Ironton , upon responding officers attempted to stop Henson in the stolen vehicle. Henson fled and it is believed that he set a wooded area on fire to aid in his escape. He was apprehended later by Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper James Rowe. He was arrested and transported to the Butler county Justice Center where he remains charges will be requested for receiving stolen property as well as felony fleeing. The U.S. Forest Service law enforcement division will conduct further investigation as to the arson of the wooded area that occurred in the Mark Twain National Forest. Potential charges of arson may be forthcoming as well.
