Donald Glenn Stone, 89, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022.
He was born in Butler County, Missouri, on March 5, 1933, to the late Joseph Manford Stone and Ruby Mae (Montgomery) Stone. He was a lifelong member of Black Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
He served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Shirley Edith Walker on June 11, 1955.
He worked as a mechanic and pizza delivery driver. Don was well known for his musical talents.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one brother, Clyde Ray Stone.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis (Cindy) Stone of Annaville, Texas, and Scott (Linda) Stone of Harviell, Missouri; one daughter, JoAndrea (Robert) Duckett of Poplar Bluff; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to moon Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at noon. Speaker will be Elder Robert Duckett. The family requests attendees to wear Cardinal baseball attire.
Donald will receive full military honors.
