Wheatley school will take registration for their Succeeding in School reading and tutoring program on Oct. 13, from 4-6 p.m.
The program will kick off it’s first session at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct.15, and run until 1 p.m. for students in grades kindergarten through sixth. The program will also offer virtual assistance through Google Duo to students in kindergarten through sixth grade who need help during the week.
Virtual assistance will be available on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30-8 p.m. Specific times will be assigned upon request. Harris said last year was a trial run offering virtual options to students.
“It offers opportunities for some people who wouldn’t otherwise get them and I think that is great,” said Harris.
