An abandoned vehicle was found at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, blocking the intersection of Poplar and South Ninth streets. The vehicle was impounded and towed from the scene.

Ian Adams, 25, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9:26 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, on North Westwood Boulevard on suspicion of burglary first degree. He was booked in the Butler County Jail.

Craig Cassinger, 32, of Poplar Bluff was booked at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the police department on a municipal warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense. Cassinger was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

An employee at Fellowship Baptist Church. 3581 N. Westwood Blvd., reported at 2:04 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, someone drilled holes in the gas tanks of two vans on the property.

Kevin Brinkley reported a license plate missing from a vehicle parked at his residence in the 600 block of Poplar Street.

Robert Riggs, 29, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 7:39 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, in the 2000 block of Kentucky Avenue on suspicion of resisting arrest and possession of marijuana. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Joseph Glass, 53, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 9:14 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, on West Pine Boulevard at Broadway on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on possession of drug paraphernalia. Glass was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

Jason Jennings, 43, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9:34 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, on Victor Street on Butler County warrants for failure to appear on charges of fraudulent use of a credit card, non-support, and property damage and a Scott County warrant for failure to appear on non-support. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Jason Vogler, 41, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:19 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, during a traffic stop on South Broadway at Ashcroft Road. Vogler fled the vehicle on foot and was caught a short pursuit. Vogler was booked in on Franklin County warrants for failure to appear on driving while revoked — felony, failure to appear on possession of amphetamine, failure to appear on driving while intoxicated, stealing, and traffic offenses; and an additional charge of felony resisting arrest. Vogler was booked into the Butler County jail.

Julius Douglas, 64, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:37 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the Winning Circle at 120 N. 10th St. on a charge of violation of an order of protection — second offense. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Tyler Johnson, 28, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, during a traffic stop on West Maud Street at North 12th Street. Clayton Fischer (driver) was issued citations for improper registration and no insurance, and he was released at the scene. The vehicle was impounded and towed.

Johnson was booked on Poplar Bluff Municipal warrants for failure to appear on stealing, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no insurance. Johnson was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

Jeremy Street, 42, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:43 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center after he allegedly assaulted emergency room staff. Street was booked on suspicion of two counts of assault fourth degree. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Travis Mangrum, 43, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:54 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5 on Cross Street on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on traffic offenses. Mangrum was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

Travis Nelson, 32, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5 during a traffic stop in the 400 block of Karen Drive on Poplar Bluff Municipal warrants for failure to appear on sexual misconduct (3 counts) and possession of marijuana. Nelson was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.

Officers responded to St. Anne’s Dining Hall, 825 West Vine St., at 1:51 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5 for a report a suspicious person was screaming and trying to open the front door. The person was found inside the building, naked; and his clothes were found in a dryer. The person was allowed to dress, and was released after a member of the church said they would not press criminal charges.
