Rosetta Louise Dailey, 91, of Mena, Arkansas, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, at Mena Regional Hospital, in Mena.
Mrs. Dailey was born Sept. 9, 1931, in Cash, Arkansas, daughter of the late Navada Savanah and Ella Edness (McGowan) Hillis. She often talked about her time working for Carter Carburetor in St. Louis. She opened her own Beauty Salon which she owned and operated for several years. She loved teaching Sunday School, sewing, gardening, and RV-ing with the Master’s Builders.
On May 26, 1949, she married Billy Jean Dailey. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2009.
Surviving are five children: Ron (Sheila) Dailey of Benton, Arkansas, Greg Dailey of Jackson, Missouri, Jerry (Marilyn) Dailey, of Morrilton, Arkansas, Kimberly (Tony) Huffmaster of Mena, Arkansas, and Jim (Dawn) Dailey of San Antonio, Texas; 14 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; two brothers: Frank (Charlotte) Hillis and Larry (Diane) Hillis, both of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and one sister: Shirley (Neal) Dabbs of Fisk, Missouri.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by four siblings: Earlene Smalley, Joan Hillis, David Hillis, and Dewel Hillis; and two grandchildren: Scott Alan Dailey and Marcus Alan Dailey. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Johnny Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, Missouri.
