Dennis Gowen, 53, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 4:23 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, during a traffic stop on West Vine Street on a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on larceny and Poplar Bluff Municipal warrants for failure to appear on possession of marijuana and traffic offenses. Gowen’s vehicle was impounded and towed from the scene, and Gowen was booked into the Butler County Jail.

A co-worker at KFC was arrested at Goodwill after she allegedly tried to use a debit card taken with the wallet. Chelsea Stevens, 35, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested on suspicion of stealing a credit card and booked into the Butler County Jail.

Frederick Sparks, 46, and Kenneth Betz, 47, both of Poplar Bluff, were arrested at 11:25 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, during a traffic stop on Highway 53. Sparks was booked on alleged possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, and a probation/parole warrant for probation violation. Sparks was booked into the Butler County Jail.
Betz was booked on charges alleged of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Betz was booked into the Butler County Jail.

An employee at Domino’s Pizza reported at 11:22 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, two black males stole a delivery order in the 700 block of Sanders Street. The suspects were identified and located, and they paid for the order. The store did not press criminal charges.
