Birdie “Mae” Lambert, 86, of Fisk, Missouri, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at St. Francis Medical Center, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Mrs. Lambert was born Feb. 25, 1936, in Fisk, daughter of the late William and Maude White.
She worked at Smiley Container in Poplar Bluff for several years. She also worked at Purolator Filter in Dexter. Mae enjoyed flower gardening and feeding the hummingbirds. She had been a member of Palace of Praise in Poplar Bluff for 35 years.
On Dec. 5, 1970, she married Anthony “Chuck” Lambert. He survives.
Also surviving are three children: Ronald (Connie) Forest of Golden, Missouri, Deborah Melton of Leslie, Missouri, and Sharla (Chris) Coons of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; five grandchildren: Scott (Erica) Forest, Michael (Dina) Forest, Michelle Forest, Melissa Forest, and Cory Reese; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her four siblings: Marvin (Edna) White, Bobby (Lucy) White, Donald White, and Florence White.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Kent Miller officiating. Burial will be at Shain Memorial Cemetery in Fisk.
