Cassie Knox, 31, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10:08 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, during a traffic stop in the 600 block of Maple Street on a Butler County warrant for endangering the welfare of a child. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

David Roberts, 66, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:53 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, at Casey’s General Store at 599 E. Pine St. on charges of stealing and trespassing. He was lodged at the Butler County jail.

A person reported at 2:37 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, his car was struck while it was parked (unoccupied) at a parking lot in Poplar Bluff.

A car was impounded and towed from a traffic stop at the intersection of Sunset and Westwood at 2:47 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, after it was discovered the driver was not licensed and the vehicle was not insured. The driver was released at the scene.

Brittany McKinley, 31, of Poplar Bluff was booked at 5:29 p.m. Thursday, Aug 11, at the Poplar Bluff Police Department on a Poplar Bluff municipal failure to appear warrant for driving while revoked or suspended. She was released on bond.

A man reported at 9:24 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, his truck was stolen from the parking lot at Holiday Inn, 2735 N. Westwood Blvd.

A motorcycle was impounded and towed from a traffic stop Thursday, Aug. 11, on North Ninth Street, after it was discovered the driver was not licensed to operate a motorcycle and the motorcycle was not insured. The driver was released at the scene.

Joshua Deberry, 31, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:04 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, in the 700 block of Warren Street on charges of third-degree assault, animal abuse, property damage and resisting arrest. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

A vehicle struck a traffic control trailer at 12:45 am Thursday, Aug. 11, parked in a construction zone on Shelby Road, and left the scene.
POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT
Firefighters responded at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, to an unauthorized burn at 843 Poplar St. According to the report, they made contact with the home owner, Jacob Million, and explained the city burn ordinance. Million extinguished the fire.

Firefighters responded at 12:24 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, to 801 S. Westwood Blvd. to a possible gas leak inside the building. According to the report, they met the security man at the front entrance to the Toyota building. They were receiving a small reading of CO. Spire gas picked up a leak reading at the meter base and them shut and locked at the gas connector. They check for a gas build up in the sewer but nothing was found.

Phillip L. Graves, 41, of Poplar Bluff was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, Aug. 11, on a warrant for DWI (persistent offender).

Michael B. Uetrecht, 25, of Poplar Bluff was booked at the Butler County jail Thursday, Aug. 11, to serve 48 hours of shock detention.
MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL
Robert B. Beltz, 53, of Campbell was arrested at 4:57 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, in Stoddard County on suspicion of misdemeanor DWI (alcohol), failure to drive on the right half of the road, following too closely, no insurance and no seat belt. He was released.

Andrew H. Forister, 52, of Dexter was arrested at 8:33 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, in Stoddard County on suspicion of DWI (drugs), careless and imprudent driving and no insurance. He was released.
