Monday, July 11, employees at Save-A-Lot, 451 Highway 53, reported the following incidents: July 5, a female subject concealed merchandise in her purse and left the store without paying for it; July 6, a couple concealed merchandise in a bag and left the store without paying for it; July 7, a male subject concealed merchandise in a drawstring bag and left the store without paying for it; July 9, a female subject with two children placed merchandise in her purse and left the store without paying for it; July 11, a white female concealed merchandise in a bag and left the store without paying for it. When the employee confronted her, she abandoned the bag and fled the scene; and July 11, at 6:14 p.m., a white female concealed merchandise in her purse and left the store without paying for it. When the employee confronted her, she returned the merchandise and fled the scene.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

A 33-year-old man sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 10:23 a.m. Friday, July 8, on U.S. Highway 61, two miles north of New Madrid.

According to the report, Irvin R. Mohr, 67, of New Hamburg, Ontario was operating a 2018 Freightliner northbound when it failed to yield to a northbound 2016 Peterbilt operated by Eric L. Foster, 33, of Dexter.

Foster was transported by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Two teenagers sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 9:15 p.m. Saturday, July 9, on Highway 53, two miles north of Campbell.

According to the report, a 17-year-old male was operating a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze northbound when it ran off the road way while making a right turn and struck a ditch.

The 17-year-old male and a 14-year-old female passenger in the vehicle both were transported by private vehicle to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Two people sustained moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 7:20 p.m. Monday, July 11, on U.S. Highway 160, 300 feet west of Fairdealing.

According to the report, Emmett D. Henson, 70, of Doniphan was operating a 2008 Buick Lacrosse westbound when it ran off the right side of the road instruction embankment.

Henson and a passenger in his vehicle, Patricia E. Henson, 73, of Doniphan, both were taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A 64-year-old man sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 1:32 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, on Highway HH, two miles east of Garwood in Reynolds County.

According to the report, Kenneth D. Reeves, 64, of Ellsinore was operating a 2000 International DF557 southbound when it traveled off the right side of the road, over corrected and overturned.

Reeves was transported by personal vehicle to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Benjamin J. Sutton, 36, of Blytheville, Arkansas was arrested at 8:41 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, in Dunklin County on a pair of Dunklin County misdemeanor failure to appear warrants and on suspicion of misdemeanor driving while suspended and no valid plates. He was booked at the Dunklin County jail.

Phillip F. Stephens, 47, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 7:33 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, in Wayne County on a felony parole violation warrant and on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine. He was booked at the Wayne County jail.

A 16-year-old male sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, on Highway 51, two miles south of Puxico.

According to the report, the 16-year-old male was operating a 2003 GMC Sierra southbound when it ran off the left side of the road and struck a telephone pole.

The 16-year-old male was taken by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center.

A 43-year-old woman sustained moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 8:25 p.m. Friday, July 15, on U.S. Highway 67, one mile south of Poplar Bluff.

According to the report, Brandy I. Nichols, 43, of Doniphan was operating a 2002 Saturn L200 northbound when it ran off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned.

Nichols was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

At 8:46 p.m., Nichols was arrested in Butler County on suspicion of DWI (drugs), failure to drive on the right half of the road, no valid license, no seat belt and no insurance. She was released for medical attention.
