NEELYVILLE, Mo. — Vera Joan Pigg Cosby, 81, passed away at 9:48 a.m Saturday, July 2, 2022, at South East Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Vera was born to Rev. Leonard and Mildred Pigg Oct. 25, 1940 in Harviell, Missouri. She has two brothers Earl and Gayle Pigg. She also has four children by the name of Michael
David Cosby who resided with her in Benton, Missouri. She has another son by the name of Danny Eugene Cosby who lives in Sedalia, Missouri. Her oldest daughter Cynthia Sue Donahue/Mark Donahue live in Kingsville, Texas. She also has one other daughter by the name of Sherry Jo Smith living in the St. Louis, Missouri area. She has four grandchildren by the name of Brian Scott Donahue who lives in Gloucester, Virginia, Andrew Dean Donahue, Christina Marie Williams/Richard Williams of Fenton, Missouri, and Emily Marie Cosby of Sedalia, Missouri.
Vera loved her family and friends and especially her children and grandchildren. She loved reading her Bible. She also loved sewing and cooking and would do anything to help her family even if it meant doing without something herself.
Vera was preceded in death by her father, mother and brother and grandson, Andrew Dean Donahue.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m Saturday, July 9, 2022, the Fowler & Sons Funeral Home at 16984 Highway 67 South, Neelyville, Mo. Flowers can be sent to this address.
