The Poplar Bluff girls basketball program got the junior high and high school teams together last week as they work this summer, coach John David Pattillo said.
The high school Mules have played in a pair of Rib City Shootouts with another set for later this month and played in another team camp in Nettleton, Arkansas. The team also made a trip to the Poplar Bluff Museum to learn the history of the program.
Pattillo said a group of around 25 high school players and a little over 20 junior high players have been working out this summer.
The varsity Mules are coming off an 8-16 season with 10 players on the roster able to return while the junior varsity finished 10-9.
