A man is in custody after he allegedly assaulted and kidnapped his girlfriend.
According to a press release from Butler County Sheriff Mark Dobbs, Keaton Rexroad, 18, allegedly assaulted and subsequently kidnapped by force Lexi A. Ellis, who is believed to be his girlfriend.
The incident occurred at approximately noon Monday at a residence in the 200 block of Century Avenue in Butler County.
Rexroad was later taken into custody without incident on March Street, Dobbs said, adding that Ellis also was found safe.
No charges have been filed and the investigation still is ongoing.
