Greenville School District has named students of the month for March and April.
Junior high students of the month for April are eighth grader Axel Tamez-Sanchez and seventh grader Eli Evans.
Victoria L. Holman and Larry F. Bennett have been named March 2022 students of the month for Greenville High School.
Holman is the daughter of Anna Peshoff of Lowndes. Bennett is the son of Amy and Justin Bennett of Lowndes.
Holman is an active student who is a member of Senior Beta Club, FCCLA, FBLA, FCS, Art and Photography Club, Pep Club, Choir, Yearbook staff, Colorguard, and 4-H.
After graduation, she plans on continuing her college career at Drury University on a cheerleading stunt scholarship. Holman plans to major in special education.
Bennett participates in many activities. He is an active member of the Missouri High School Rodeo Association. Bennett was the Saddle Bronc champion for the ACA in 2020 and 2021. He also finished 12th in the nation in the National High School Rodeo finals in 2021 for the category of Saddle Bronc Riding..
Bennett plans on attending Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kansas. He received a full ride scholarship to be part of the school’s rodeo team. After college, Bennett plans to obtain his professional rodeo card and get married.
DeAnna M. Joplin and Aleeha C. Pedigo have been named April 2022 students of the month for Greenville High School.
Joplin is the daughter of Dean and Lisa Joplin of Lowndes. Pedigo is the daughter of William and Davida Pedigo of Lowndes.
Joplin is an active student who is a member of Senior Beta Club, FCCLA, FBLA, NHS, ETS, cheerleading, pep club, marching band and 4-H Club. After graduation, she plans on continuing her college career at Three Rivers where she will major in forestry.
Pedigo participates in many activities. She is an active member of FFA (current president), FCCLA, FBLA, Sr. Beta Club, ETS, FCS, GHS choir, colorguard, NHS, GHS Student Council (current vice-president), cheerleading, and Pep Club.
Pedigo plans to study agribusiness at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.
