Joshua “Lane” Russell Savat, 16, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri passed away as the results of a tragic car accident on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
Lane, son of Bree L. Savat and the late Joshua Russell Savat, was born on Jan. 11, 2006, in Poplar Bluff. He was a sophomore at Poplar Bluff High School, where he played football and ran track for the Mules. When he wasn’t playing sports, Lane enjoyed hanging out with family and friends, playing his guitar and ukulele, fishing, or playing video games. No matter what he did, Lane could always light up a room with his charming smile.
Lane is survived by his mom, Breanna Leigh Savat and dad Lanny Corcimiglia; three sisters, Zoe Savat, Hannah Corcimiglia, Reese Corcimiglia; only brother Jacob Corcimiglia; his grandparents, Darrell and Connie Taylor; Russell Savat, Glena Whitley-Savat; and Nancy Corcimiglia; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A gathering of family and friends will take place Thursday, April 28, 2022, 11 a.m. at Black River Coliseum. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the Coliseum, with Rev. Byron Beck of Fellowship General Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, with Committal rites being administered by Celebrant Deacon Nicholas Newton of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
