Officers were dispatched Monday, April 18, to a residence in the 600 block of Township Line in reference to a burglary in progress. Officers found evidence of forced entry. Resident reported jewelry and a handgun as stolen. The investigation is ongoing.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Frefighters were dispatched at 4:54 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, to a structure fire at 1818 Alice St. According to the report, firefighters found fire contained to a bedroom and fire in the attic. The owner advised authorities no electric or gas service was on at the residence. The Missouri State Fire Marshal is investigating.

Firefighters responded to an alarm at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at 2350 Kanell Blvd. Cedargate. According to the report, no fire was found. It was a false alarm activated by drywall dust from ongoing construction at the facility.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

Kenneth L. Hudson, 70, of Malden was arrested at 10:04 p.m. Thursday, April 21, in Dunklin County on suspicion of felony DWI (alcohol and drugs), felony possession of hydrocodone, felony possession of tramadol, failure to drive on the right half of the road, no insurance and no seat belt. He was booked at the Dunklin County jail on a 24-hour hold.

Bryan L. Russell, 43, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:09 p.m. Thursday, April 21, in Scott County on a felony Probation and Parole absconder warrant, a Butler County felony warrant for child neglect, and on suspicion of misdemeanor DWI (drugs), misdemeanor possession of marijuana, driving while suspended, failure to dim headlights, failure to display valid plates and no seat belt. He was booked at the Scott County jail.
