Deputies responded Friday, March 25, to the 700 block of County Road 556 in reference to animal neglect. According to the report, several emaciated horses were found on the property and are currently being investigated by the Humane Society of Missouri.

Deputies were dispatched Thursday, March 24, to a residence in the 1300 block of County Road 533 in reference to property damage. According to the report, the owner discovered an alarm had been triggered on his basement entry door between 8-9 a.m. and the entry doors were broken. The investigation is ongoing.
POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT
Officers responded Saturday, March 26, to Walgreens at 11th and Pine streets in reference to two shoplifting suspects. According to the report, officers made contact with a male identified as Tyler Miles and a female identified as Kasha Miles. Both were booked and released from the Poplar Bluff Police station.
POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT
City firefighters were dispatched at 11:34 a.m. Friday, March 25, to 924 Ivadene in reference to a vehicle fire. According to the report, the owner was found using a garden hose to extinguish fire. The house incurred heat damage and firefighters used a TI camera to check for active hot spots. No signs of further fire damage were found. The Missouri State Fire Marshal was called to investigate.
