DONIPHAN, Mo. — Ronald Eugene Woods, 77, of Doniphan, Missouri, was called home to be with the Lord Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
He was born May 25, 1944.in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Marvin and Mary (Teders) Woods.
Ron attended Cobblestone Christian Church. He served as treasurer of the MO-ARK Christian Service Camp and did maintenance at the camp to be sure it was ready their meetings and services. Ron also worked the election polls for Ripley County. He was a member of Union #803 in Rockford, Illinois where he worked in manufacturing for 30 years.
On June 1, 1963, Ron married Betty Shickles in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Also surviving are daughters, Linda (Larry) Cassioppi of LaCrosse, Wisconsin and Sue (Jim) Caniglia of Loves Park, Illinois; his sister, Gloria Kifer of St. Louis; a brother, Michael Woods of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; his grandchildren, Adam, Lauren, Amanda, and Aaron; and great-grandchildren, Camren, Amiyah, R.J., and J.J.
Ron was preceded by two brothers, Marvin Woods and Larry Woods, and a great-grandchild, Skylar.
Visitation will be in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel Friday, April 1, 2022 beginning at 1 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. Darin Kleeman will be officiating.
