ELLSINORE, Mo. — David Loy Saffle, son of Loy and Cinderella Saffle was born Nov. 18, 1941 in Fallis, Oklahoma and departed this life March 11, 2022 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. He had attained the age of 80 years, three months and 23 days.
David was residing in Fayetteville, North Carolina for the past 21 years. He was a former resident of Ellsinore, Missouri where he had pastored at the Assembly of God Church. David always enjoyed singing, playing music, hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends.
David went to West Coast Bible School & College and that is where he started preaching and continued preaching for 35 plus years. He was an ordained minister with the Assembly of God organization. He also was a good carpenter and concrete finisher.
David is survived by Nancy Saffle and three sons: David Wayne Saffle (Heidi) of Columbia, Missouri, Rick A. Saffle (Lisa) of Ellsinore, Mike D. Saffle (Kelly) of Ellsinore; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers: John Saffle (Vi); Paul Saffle; James Saffle (Linda) and Tim Saffle (Christie Ann) along with many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2022 in the McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore, Missouri with the funeral services following at noon in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Pete Joplin will be officiating. Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery in Grandin, Missouri.
