A Broseley man faces several felony charges, including kidnapping, in relation to an incident that occurred last summer.

Dustin D. Manns, 40, of Broseley is charged with the Class B felony of first degree kidnapping involving terrorizing, inflicting injury and/or facilitating a felony and two Class E felony charges of third degree domestic assault.

According to the probable cause statement by Butler County Sheriff’s Deputy Damien Smith, Manns allegedly came into the bedroom of a female who was known to him and made comments about cutting her and bleeding her out.

Manns allegedly tied the woman up and refused to let her leave, despite her asking to do so multiple times, according to law enforcement. The woman told law enforcement Manns cut her and attempted to draw blood “to cure his sickness.”

However, Manns was unable to cause her any injury because she then reportedly was able to escape after asking to be freed to use the restroom, and left the property in her vehicle.

Manns is being held without bond at the Butler County jail. He is slated to be arraigned Wednesday morning at the Butler County Courthouse.
