Robert Martindale McCluskey was born April 29, 1945, in Bernie, Missouri.

His mother, Bonnie Ester Goodwin, and his father, Aaron Rossie McCluskey, were married in 1921. He was the youngest of 11 children. He is survived by only one sister Lillian Ester Neil of Colorado Springs.

Bob was married in 1973 to Marsha Ann Baumgardner in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. They had three children. He is survived by Tess Angelic Butler, Tory Shane McCluskey and Tara Ginger McCluskey.

Bob is also survived 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Bob was drafted into the United States Army in 1965. He served for two years as a Radio Operator at the rank of Private. He was honorably discharged in 1967 and returned to Missouri.

Bob was a literal Jack of all Trades. He was a Postal carrier in Flint, Michigan; worked at GM Automotive Plant; the 7-Up Bottling Plant; was a Professional Photographer with Marsha as they owned and operated a camera store and dark room. He also worked as an auto mechanic, a donut baker and worked at several factories. He made his final career at Veterans Administration. He retired having worked in several VA hospitals across the country.

His departure from this world left many grief stricken. This world will not be the same without him, but we rejoice in the knowledge that he is reunited with his beloved wife and returned to embrace God the Father. He is no longer in any pain or discomfort and will live forevermore in Heaven.

The visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral Chapel, with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Mr. McCluskey will receive a final drive-by salute by the staff of John J. Pershing VA Medical as the funeral procession passes on way to cemetery. A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with Rev. Steve Patterson officiating.
