CORNING, Ark. — Bruce McGrew, 51, of Corning passed away at his home Feb. 14, 2022. Bruce was born Dec. 1, 1970 in Pocahontas. He was the minister for Success Church of Christ and was passionate about spreading God’s word. CORNING, Ark. — Bruce McGrew, 51, of Corning passed away at his home Feb. 14, 2022.

Bruce was born Dec. 1, 1970 in Pocahontas. He was the minister for Success Church of Christ and was passionate about spreading God’s word. He was also the technology director for Neelyville School District R4 in Neelyville, Missouri and loved working on computers. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, enjoyed duck hunting, working on cars, and spending time on his lawn tractor. Bruce was a family man and loved spending time with his wife, sons, extended family and friends.

On April 17, 1992, he married Brenda Roark, who survives. They would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in April. Other survivors include their sons Drake and Jaxon McGrew of the home; mother, Helen McGrew of Success; brother, Jim (Angie) McGrew of Corning; sister, Mary Helen (Jim) Mullinnax of Mt. Carmel, IL; mother-in-law, Wanda Roark of McDougal; sister-in-laws, Karla Newboles and Leanna Glasgow of McDougal; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including a loving church congregation.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Oral McGrew; father-in-law, Jack Roark; special brother-in-law, Jay Rigdon; infant nephew, Liam McGrew; and infant nieces, Paisley and Penelope McGrew; aunts, Pat Conley and Wanda Scott; and dear friend, Chad Pennington.

Pallbearers will be Matt Woolard, Rob Asher, Bo Roark, Todd Smith, Jason Guthrie, and Greg Mock.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022 at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2022 at Ermert Funeral Home with Kent McDaniel, Aaron Burton, and Chris Eubanks officiating. Burial will follow at Hitt Cemetery in Success.
