Thomas E. Huber, 42, of the 5500 block of County Road 450 was booked Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of third-degree assault.

Crystal A. Issac, 43, of Burlington, Iowa, was booked Friday, Feb. 11, at the Butler County jail on two warrants for passing a bad check, a warrant for forgery and a failure to appear warrant for passing a bad check.

William D. Barnett, 46, of Dexter was booked Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Butler County jail on a parole violation warrant and a warrant for possession of marijuana.

Donald E. Christie, 36, of the 500 block of County Road 569 was booked Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of third-degree assault, first-degree burglary, false impersonation of a law enforcement officer, kidnapping, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.

Curtis D. Hicks, 34, of Hayti was booked Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Butler County jail on a parole violation warrant.

Oshie K. D. Lane, 30, of Hominy, Oklahoma, was booked Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of third-degree domestic assault and peace disturbance.

Tessa M. Lane, 40, of Hominy, Oklahoma, was booked Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of third-degree domestic assault and peace disturbance.

Jacob H. Leonard, 19, of the 1400 block of Black River Industrial Park Road was booked Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Butler County jail on a warrant for third-degree domestic assault.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters responded at 1:57 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, to a reported unauthorized burn at 1202 N. Fifth St. They discovered a trash fire on the side of the road and used 10 gallons of water to put it out.

Firefighters responded at 8:31 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, to a reported structure fire at the 945 Lester St. home owned by Jill Medina. Upon arrival, they found a trash fire and notified the owner of the city’s burn ordinance before using 15 gallons of water to put the fire out.

Firefighters responded at 6:43 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, to a trash fire on the side of the road at 1826 Grand Avenue. They used 20 gallons of water to put the fire out.

Firefighters were dispatched at 8:24 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, to a structure fire at 2270 Ryan Drive. They used 2,000 gallons of water to put the fire out. They also used a gas meter, a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots and set up a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the building.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Victor G. Reel, 33, of the 1000 block of Kinzer was arrested at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, on suspicion of first-degree burglary, second-degree domestic assault and resisting arrest.

Jeremy D. Criteser, 41, of the 400 block of North Second Street was arrested at 11:20 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, at the First Baptist Church on five Park Hills failure to appear warrants for traffic violations and two for failure to appear warrants for trespassing. He was transported to the St. Francois County Jail.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

Jonathan C. Harris, 25, of Ellington was arrested at 3:36 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, in Reynolds County on suspicion of felony possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to wear a seat belt. He was released.

A 49-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 1:40 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, on Highway HH, seven miles north of Qulin.

According to the report, Steven Lane, 20, of Kennett was operating a 2013 Ford F-150 northbound when it ran off the left side of the road and struck a ditch.

A passenger in Lane’s truck, Tanya M. Cade, 49, of Kennett, was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Henry A. Powell, 30, of Sikeston was arrested at 9:18 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, in Stoddard County on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, felony resisting arrest, felony third-degree assault, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of 10 grams or less of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the Stoddard County jail on a 24-hour hold.

Robert A. Spain, 33, of Greenville was arrested at 2:28 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, in Butler County on a Scott County felony warrant for stealing, a felony parole violation warrant, a St. Charles Department of Corrections failure to appear warrant for felony possession of a controlled substance, and on suspicion of no insurance and no seat belt. He was booked at the Butler County jail.
