Kerrie A. Capper, 50, of Carlyle, Illinois, was booked Monday, Feb. 7, at the Butler County jail on a writ of habeas corpus.

Crystal L. Daley, 41, of St. Louis was booked Monday, Feb. 7, at the Butler County jail on a capias warrant for third-degree assault and a warrant for stealing.

Christopher L. Hall, 37, of Patterson was booked Monday, Feb. 7, at the Butler County jail on a writ of habeas corpus.

John M. Hill, 50, of Doniphan was booked Monday, Feb. 7, at the Butler County jail on warrants for second-degree assault and second-degree assault - special victim.

Christopher L. Law, 44, of the 200 block of County Road 468 was booked Monday, Feb. 7, at the Butler County jail on a writ of habeas corpus.

George A. Wallace, 23, of Doniphan was booked Monday, Feb. 7, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of possession of marijuana and on warrants for exceeding the speed limit, failing to stop at a stop sign, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, failing to use a turn signal, operating the vehicle of another knowing the owner did not maintain financial responsibility, operating a vehicle without a valid license and driving on the wrong side of the road.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters responded at 11:41 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, to 2305 Eugene Blvd., No. 116, to a report of a burning smell. It was investigation only.

Firefighters responded at 6:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, to a homeowners call for assistance at 805 Apple St. It was investigation only.

Firefighters responded at 3:34 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, to a reported fire at 821 Cedar St. They discovered a controlled trash fire and notified the occupant of the city’s burning ordinance before extinguishing the fire with 15 gallons of water.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

George A. Wallace, 23, of Fairdealing was arrested at 1:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, in Ripley County on a Butler County felony warrant for resisting an officer, seven Butler County moving traffic violation warrants and on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, failure to display valid plates, no insurance, no valid license and no seat belt. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Sharon L. Leeks, 34, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:53 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, in Stoddard County on a felony Stoddard County failure to appear warrant for a traffic offense and on suspicion of felony possession of heroin and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked at the Stoddard County jail.

A 19-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 3:50 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, on Highway 34, three miles east of Piedmont.

According to the report, Britney D. Mumper, 23, of Piedmont was operating a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe northbound when it failed to yield and was struck by an eastbound 2006 Ford Mustang operated by Lindsey N. Allen, 19, of Piedmont.

Allen was transported by Wayne County Ambulance to Parkland Health Center in Farmington.

A 24-year-old woman sustained moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 4:20 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, on Highway 51, three miles south of Puxico.

According to the report, Danielle N. Daniel, 24, of Puxico was operating a 2001 Ford Explorer westbound when it ran off the road and struck a ditch.

Daniel was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
