FISK, Mo. — Glen Floyd Cross, 83, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Cross was born June 9, 1938 in Fisk, Missouri to the late Buck and Clara Cross. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and flower gardening. He also enjoyed going to flea markets and Dollar Tree and playing cards. He loved his friends and family. Glen gave his life to God in March of 2020 and attended The Thousand Hills Cowboy Church. He worked at Wagner Electric, Ford Motor Company, G&M Auto Sales, and then retired as a carpenter.
He was married to Shirley Pierce. She preceded him in death on March 13, 2004.
He is survived by three children: Linda Reed of Poplar Bluff, Larry Reed of Dudley, and Kevin Reed of South Carolina; five siblings: Verlan Cross of Cabot, Arkansas, Dorothy Curnutte of Dexter, Kentucky, William Cross of Hometown, Illinois, Ernie Cross of Evansville, Indiana, and Melba Newman of Hardin, Kentucky; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a family friend: Barbara Siliven; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Geneva Fuelner and Berniece Morgan.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Will Davis officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, Missouri.
