FISK, Mo. — Delane Holloway, 89, of Fisk, Missouri, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2022 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mr. Holloway was born March 11, 1932 to the late Jacob and Alma Holloway. He was formerly a U.S. Navy Corpsman stationed on the USS Stephen Potter and saw action off the coast of Korea. He was known for his career as a car salesman. In the 70s he was co-owner and president of Dixie Devil Boats in Hermann, Missouri. In 1990 he moved to South Texas. He loved to “Texas Two-Step!”
Delane is survived by one son: Kurtis Holloway of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; two daughters: Karen Jenson of Poplar Bluff and Nora Espinosa of McAllen, Texas; four grandchildren: Jacob (Sindhu) Holloway, Julie (Rodger) Garrett, Andrea Walsh, and Kristi Dewitt; and two great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two siblings: Carol Holloway and Jeanette Woods.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Kurtis Holloway officiating. Burial with full military honors will take place at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2022 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
