James M. ADAMS, 50, of the4 1700 block of Spring Street was booked Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the Butler County jail on warrants for DWI and second-degree arson.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters responded at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, to a reported electrical fire at the 1111 N. 10th St. home owned by Becky Jordan. Upon arrival, the found no fire but disconnected power to a faulty outlet.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Angela D. Alsup, 57, of the 400 block of Second Street was arrested at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, on a Jefferson County warrant for possession of a controlled substance. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Michael J. Melvin, 22, of Piedmont was arrested at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, on a Wayne County warrant for possession of amphetamine. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

Two people sustained moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, on Highway AA near County Road 468, three miles northwest of Piedmont.

According to the report, Angela N. Hastings, 23, of Mill Spring was operating a 2018 Chevrolet Impala westbound when it ran off the left side of the road and struck multiple trees.

Hastings and a passenger, Dusty R. Porter, 18, of Mill Spring, were transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A 16-year-old female sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, on Business 67, one mile west of Poplar Bluff.

According to the report, John M. Hall, 63, of Poplar Bluff was operating a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado westbound when it struck a westbound 2014 Ford Mustang in the rear operated by a 16-year-old female from Poplar Bluff.

The 16-year-old female was transported by Butler County EMS to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Adam R. Skinner, 21, of Sikeston was arrested at 9:26 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, in Stoddard County on suspicion of DWI (drugs), failure to have two lighted headlamps and no insurance. He was released.
