NEELYVILLE, Mo. — Neva Gaye Hills, 95, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Jan. 15, 2022, at the Westwood Hills Healthcare.
She was born July 29, 1926, at Limestone, Arkansas to the late James Henry Bohannon and Emma Myrtle Ogden Bohannon.
She was married to Boyd Slusher and in 1963 married Robert Hills, who preceded her in death in June 2000.
She is survived by one daughter Carol (Charles) Keller of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; two stepdaughters, Jean Kramer of Hannibal, Missouri, Nancy Hills of St. Louis, Missouri as well as her grandchildren; Ethan (Mary) Dellinger, Austin Dellinger, Miranda Dellinger, Kelly (Andy) Bertelson, Brad (Lisa) Slusher, Tara (Riley) March, Karla (Terry) Davis, DJ.(Perry Kiraly) Cornelius, April (Mike) Dodd, Deb (Jeff) Vogt, Michael Lucas, Steve West and Dawn (David) Fansler . She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two children, Diane Slusher Skiver and James Melvin Slusher, a step-daughter, Dixie Lucas, grandsons, Terry Lucas and Bryan Smith and sister Nina Adams.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading and gardening.
Visitation will start at noon Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, with the funeral following at 1 p.m. all in the Fowler and Sons Funeral Home at Neelyville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Naylor Memorial Cemetery at Naylor. Missouri with Rev. Riley March and Carol Keller officiating.
