POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT
Firefighters responded at 7:14 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, to a reported unauthorized burn at the corner of Fair and Henry streets. Upon arrival, they found a small fire in the ditch. They advised the occupant of 1001 Henry, Onas Young, of the city’s burn ordinance and used 25 gallons of water to put the fire out.

Firefighters were dispatched at 2:26 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, to a motor vehicle accident at Thomas and Midland streets. They assisted EMS crews with removing a patient from a vehicle and used an absorbent to clean fluids off the roadway.

County firefighters responded at 3:11 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, to a reported fence row fire on Highway V. The fire was out upon their arrival.

Katie R. Clark, 28, 1300 block of Barron Road was arrested at 8:01 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, on a warrant for stealing. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Brian Campbell, 39, of the 1300 block of Whispering Pine was arrested at 9:38 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, on a warrant for non-support. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Tevin T. Stringer, 30, of the 3000 block of Cravens Road was arrested at 10:20 a.m. Jan . 4 on suspicion of fourth-degree domestic assault. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Glenda J. Barnes, 82, of the 2200 block of Barron Road was booked Wednesday, Jan. 5, at the Butler County jail on a failure to appear warrant for operating a vehicle without financial responsibility.
