A resident of the 1500 block of County Road 271 reported at 8:37 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, that a burglary had taken place at their residence the previous night and items like a propane heater and hand tools had been taken.

Firefighters responded to an alarm at 3:08 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, at Dunham’s Sports, 763 N. Westwood Blvd. It was investigation only.

Firefighters were dispatched at 1:28 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, to a motor vehicle accident at Second and Harper streets. There were no injuries.

Firefighters were dispatched at 5:48 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, to a motor vehicle crash on Oak Grove Road, where they cleaned off the roadway.

Firefighters responded at 5:32 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, to a reported vehicle fire in the alley between North 12th and North 13th streets. They used 300 gallons of water to put the fire out.

Firefighters were dispatched at 1:49 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, to 550 Highway 53, where a vehicle had crashed and went into a ditch. There were no injuries.

Firefighters were called at 9:58 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, to the home of Dennis Woods, 724 Vine St., for a reported gas odor. Firefighters could find nothing with a gas meter and cleared the scene once Spire Gas officials showed up.

Firefighters responded at 10:13 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, to a reported fire behind 630 Vine St. They told the occupant about the city’s burn ordinance and used three gallons of water to put the fire out.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Linda K. Maine, 35, who listed Poplar Bluff and Fairdealing addresses, was arrested at 3:54 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, on a warrant for a traffic offense. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Javone A. Gibbs-Wright, 18, was arrested at 11:28 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, on suspicion of careless & imprudent driving, failure to stop at a stop sign, operating a vehicle without a license, endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Steven L. Midkiff, 44, of the 1800 block of Indiana was arrested at 3:43 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at the Walmart Supercenter on a warrant for unlawful use of a weapon. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

BUTER COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT

County firefighters responded at 11:28 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, to a reported structure fire on Highway B. It was smoke coming from a wood stove.

County firefighters responded at 2:48 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Cravens Road and Highway 142. Upon arrival, all occupants were out of their vehicles.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

Tracy R. Isby, 47, of Justice, Illinois was arrested at 9:45 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, in Stoddard County on suspicion of DWI, driving while revoked and speeding. He was released.

Rosevelt Jackson, 58, of Blytheville, Arkansas was arrested at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, in Dunklin County on suspicion of felony DWI (chronic offender) and felony driving while suspended. He was released.
