FISK, Mo. — Berniece West, 80, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022 at her residence, in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. West was born April 3, 1941 at Neelyville, Missouri, daughter of the late Charles G. Bell and Eva Toole. She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing and working in her yard, especially riding on her lawn mower. On March 18, 1961, she married her “sweetest love,” Kenneth Dale West. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2019.
She is survived by one daughter: Kim Inman and husband, Alvin, of Springfield, Missouri; one son: Kevin West and partner, Diane Jones of Springfield; two brothers: Floyd (Sue) Bell of Broseley, Lloyd (Jeanie) Bell of Poplar Bluff, four sisters: Roxey (Larry) Roberts of Poplar Bluff, Jane Parker of Broseley, Shirley (Don) Eddy of Fisk and Gloria Sue Martin of Caryle, Illinois, one sister-in-law: Peggy McDonald of Poplar Bluff, four grandchildren: Travis Inman and wife, Sara, Kyle West, Kendra Brines and husband, Justin, Cameron West; and four great-grandchildren: Gracie, Colten, Aubrey and Logan.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Betty Nelson and Mary Snook, and one brother, Larry Bell. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Shain Memorial Cemetery at Fisk, Missouri.
