FISK, Mo. — Jay Huett, 62, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Huett was born July 31, 1959 in Oroville, California to the late Floyd Junior Huett and Wanda Louise Downs.

Jay lived his life with humor. He tried to start his days by doing something daring, and sometimes by embarking on a risky adventure! His son Jayson was his pride and joy. He invested a lot of energy and time in Jayson’s life and supported him in baseball and life lessons. He was involved in bringing concerts and live venues to the fairgrounds in Butler County in the 70s, and in the directing and promoting of these events, including the Red Eye Jams LLC, which brought a lot of young and old together. Jay moved back to California in the 80s and became one of the top Salesmen in the Cable TV industry and won many awards and accolades for his involvement in bringing MTV to the forefront. In the 90s he ran a very successful Dish Network Business. In the 2000s he retired and settled back in Butler County.

Jay is survived by his son, Jayson Michael Huett; his wife, Sue Bleiweiss; two sisters who he loved deeply, Suzette Huett-Stahl and Tammy Michelle Downs; nieces and nephews he loved to pieces; a twin brother, Ray Huett, who loved him and cared for him through his struggle and battle, while enjoying the quality of life that he strived for. He loved his entire awesome family, including his many beautiful cousins he spent time with, and his aunts and uncles. He will be missed but not forgotten. RIP my giving brother.
