MARBLE HILL, Mo. — Jerry Lynn Harwell, 64, of Poplar Bluff, Mo passed away Dec. 24, 2021, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

He was a lifelong resident of Poplar Bluff. His hobbies included playing cards, watching baseball and football but only to watch his favorites the St. Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers. He thoroughly enjoyed his job at Walmart as a cart pusher his agenda was to “try and outdo and gather way more than the others”. He found such enjoyment while employed there and visiting with the employees. When his health began to fail and unable to push the carts as easily, he found a new job (hobby) and that was turning his car into a taxicab, running the streets as a cab driver and visiting with them as well as escorting them around Poplar Bluff. He loved life, his family and his friends.

He is survived by two sisters, Michelle (Dale) Walker and Angie (Cecil) Gunter; one brother, Brian (Tina) Harwell; one brother-in-law Richard Lewis; six nieces Kiley (Anthony) Lewis, Natasha (Zach) Sentell, Kayleigh (Timmy) Abner, Ashley (Dallas) Carpenter, Hillary (Jeffrey) King, and Jessica (Dustin) Hartgroves. Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his mother Shirley Jean Harwell, father Jerry Kenneth Harwell, brother Bobby Harwell, sister Teresa Lewis and niece Briana Succaw.

There will be a celebration of his life that will take place at a later date.

Liley Family Enterprises, Inc. in Marble Hill is in charge of arrangements.
